About Diego
Diego holds a law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he graduated with honors and received a laureate distinction for his thesis. He also earned an LL.M. from Columbia University in New York, where he was a CONACYT-SENER Hydrocarbons Sector Fund scholar.
With over 10 years of experience, Diego focuses on proceedings before Mexico’s competition authorities—the Federal Economic Competition Commission (Cofece) and the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT)—including merger notifications and investigations into monopolistic practices, both absolute and relative. He also focuses on administrative and constitutional litigation before the specialized courts for antitrust, broadcasting, and telecommunications matters.
In addition, he advises clients on regulatory matters in strategic sectors such as financial services, payment systems, and telecommunications, assisting them with compliance strategies, risk assessments, and engagement with regulatory authorities.
